Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has received the prestigious “SCOPE Eminence Award” for 2022-23 for excellence in Research & Development, Technology Development, and Innovation. The award was presented by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony in New Delhi.
SAIL CMD Amarendu Prakash said, “This recognition reflects the relentless efforts of our R&D teams and the synergy between innovation and operations. It reaffirms our commitment to building a future-ready steel industry that meets India’s needs while competing globally.”
He further emphasized that SAIL is advancing indigenous technology and new steel grades in line with ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’, while focusing on sustainability through IIoT-based monitoring, waste utilization, and renewable energy integration.
