Purullia, July 31 — West Bengal Trinamool Congress Secretary Soumen Beltharia expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her decision to provide a ₹1,10,000 grant to every Durga Puja committee across the state.
Beltharia said the move reflects the Chief Minister’s deep commitment to Bengal’s culture and traditions. He noted that the financial support would greatly assist organizers, promote local artisans, and uplift small businesses that rely on the festive season.
“This gesture strengthens the spirit of Durga Puja and shows how the state values its heritage,” Beltharia said, adding, “Jai Ma Durga! Jai Bangla!”
