Ranchi: The Sikh community of Ranchi honoured Nadeem Khan, founder of Lahu Bolega Blood Donation Organisation and the Jharkhand Thalassemia Association, for the second consecutive year for his contribution to humanitarian service and voluntary blood donation.
The honour was conferred during the 4th Jharkhand State-Level Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Samman Samaroh, organised by the Guru Nanak Sevak Jatha at the Gurudwara Hall on Ratu Road. Several individuals associated with humanitarian and social service initiatives from across Jharkhand were felicitated during the programme.
Jharkhand Minority Welfare Minister Hafizul Hasan was the chief guest. Jyoti Singh Matharu, Vice-Chairperson of the Jharkhand State Minority Commission, Ranchi Deputy Mayor Neeraj Singh and other dignitaries attended the event.
Expressing gratitude, Lahu Bolega thanked the Sikh community for recognising its humanitarian work. The organisation also conveyed its appreciation to the Ratu Road Gurudwara Management Committee and all office-bearers of the Guru Nanak Sevak Jatha.
Representatives of Lahu Bolega, Er. Shah Nawaz Abbas and Powell Kumar, were also present on the occasion.
