Mehrma Gets Development Boost as Road Project Begins, Park to Come Up at Bhuska Pahad Soon

Ranchi/Mahagama: Development works have gained fresh momentum in Mehrma block under the Mahagama Assembly constituency. Jharkhand’s Minister for Rural Development, Rural Works and Panchayati Raj, Deepika Pandey Singh, laid the foundation stone for the strengthening work of the road connecting Biramchak on the Godda-Pirpainti NH route to Diyajori Balbadda road (Ghori Chak Mod via Veernagar). The project, worth Rs 1.47 crore, is expected to fulfil a long-pending demand of the local residents.

On the occasion, the minister termed the proposed park at Bhuska Pahad a historic initiative towards regional development. She said that after the success of the Nature Park developed at Bhagaiya Kakraghat, Bhuska Pahad would also be developed as a tourist destination. The project is expected to help preserve the area’s natural beauty while promoting environmental conservation.

The minister informed that the process for developing the park at the famous Bhuska Pahad is in its final stage. The initiative is likely to generate new employment and self-employment opportunities for local youths and boost tourism-related economic activities in the region.

She further stated that all hurdles related to the proposed rice mill project in the panchayat have been resolved. The mill is expected to become operational within the next six to eight months, which will directly benefit local farmers in paddy sales and processing.

Deepika Pandey Singh said that the state government is continuously working in the sectors of roads, electricity, drinking water, irrigation, employment and farmers’ welfare. Providing basic facilities such as roads, electricity, water supply, education and healthcare to every village of Mahagama remains the government’s top priority. She added that development works related to Chhath ghats, ponds, PCC roads, playgrounds and other infrastructure are also being carried out continuously as per public demand.

She reiterated that the state government remains fully committed to development and public welfare, and several schemes related to roads, irrigation, electricity, employment and agriculture are being implemented on the ground level across the region.
