Woman Located in Bikaner After CCTV and Technical Inputs Guided Investigation
Bokaro, February 15: A 41-year-old woman who was reported missing from Sector 12 area of Bokaro earlier this month has been traced in Rajasthan, police updated on Sunday.
According to police, a written complaint was lodged on February 4 stating that the woman had left her residence around 11 am without informing family members and did not return. Following the complaint, a missing case was registered at Sector 12 police station and investigation was initiated.
During the probe, CCTV footage and technical inputs indicated that the woman had travelled to Bikaner in Rajasthan. A police team was subsequently constituted and coordinated with local authorities there.
With the assistance of Gangashahar police in Bikaner district, the woman was located and recovered. During inquiry, she informed police that she had left home voluntarily. She stated that she has been married since 2006 and has a 16-year-old son, but her relationship with her husband had been strained.
Police said she had developed contact with a man from Bikaner through social media a few months ago and later decided to go there on her own. She also submitted a written statement regarding her decision.
Police confirmed that due procedures have been completed and further action, if required, will be taken as per law.
