The Town Administration–Horticulture Department of Bokaro Steel Plant is hosting a two-day flower show, ‘Pushpita–2026’, on February 21–22 at Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park (JNB Park), bringing together gardening enthusiasts and residents of the township.
The exhibition was inaugurated on February 21 by Executive Director (Human Resources) Rajshree Banerjee. Senior officials present included Executive Directors C.R. Mishra, Anish Sengupta and Dr B.B. Karunamay; Chief General Manager (Services) Arvind Kumar; Chief General Manager (Town Administration) Kundan Kumar; General Manager (Township) A.K. Singh; and General Manager (Horticulture) Lambodar Upadhyay, along with employees and participants.
The show features entries across four categories, with participation from local residents, schools, nurseries and gardeners. Seasonal blooms, ornamental plants, creative floral arrangements and contemporary landscaping concepts are on display. Nearly 200 flower pots have been exhibited, transforming the park into a vibrant floral landscape.
A panel of judges will shortlist three outstanding displays for awards. The selected exhibits will also be showcased during Basant Mela–2026. The event will conclude with a prize distribution ceremony on February 22 at 5 pm.
