Bokaro: Marking the New Year with a strong social message, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha spent time with elderly residents and differently-abled children at two service institutions in the district. He visited Manav Seva Ashram in Sector-05 and Baba Baidyanath Vriddh Seva Ashram at Solgadiha, interacting closely with the inmates and sharing moments of warmth and empathy.
During the visit, the DC held heartfelt conversations with the elderly and children, enquiring about their daily routine, health, food, medical care, and other facilities. He listened to their concerns and reassured them that the district administration stands with them in every situation. Sweets, fruits, and essential items were distributed among the residents, adding cheer to the New Year celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Nath Jha said that society must make conscious efforts to connect with those who are weak or emotionally broken and include them in shared happiness. “If we share even a small part of our joy, someone’s life can change. This is the true essence of celebrating the New Year,” he said.
The DC also announced that on the occasion of the upcoming Republic Day, the district administration will felicitate institutions and individuals who provide continuous support to Manav Seva Ashram, to encourage a culture of service and social responsibility.
