Jharkhand’s Under–14 Football Team Congratulated by Chief Minister for National Championship Victory



Ranchi: Today, the "Jharkhand Under–14 Boys Football Team" met Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. On this occasion, the Chief Minister warmly congratulated all the players, coaches, and support staff for winning the national championship and extended his best wishes for their bright future.



The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has immense potential in the field of sports. The state government is fully committed to the holistic development of players and ensuring they gain recognition at the national and international levels. He also stated that the talent and dedication of the youth are taking Jharkhand’s pride to new heights.



The Jharkhand Under–14 team delivered an outstanding performance in the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Football Championship, held in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, from 1st to 6th December 2025, and won the national championship title. In the final match, the team defeated Punjab 6–5 in an exciting penalty shootout to achieve this prestigious honor.



The championship was organized under the banner of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC). During the interaction with the Chief Minister, the players said that the state government’s sports policies and incentive programs continuously motivate them to perform at their best.


The Chief Minister expressed hope that Jharkhand’s players will continue to set new benchmarks in the world of sports in the future.
