Ranchi: Today, the Hon’ble Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Mr. Rabindra Nath Mahato, honoured Mr. Jhongo Pahan, a talented archer from Khunti district, for winning a gold and a silver medal in archery at the Asian Youth Para Games–2025. The felicitation ceremony was held in the Speaker’s office chamber, where his two coaches, Mr. Ashish Kumar and Mr. Danish Ansari, were also present.
The Hon’ble Speaker felicitated Mr. Jhongo Pahan by presenting him with a memento and draping a shawl, appreciating his outstanding performance. Notably, the Asian Youth Para Games–2025 were held in Dubai, where Mr. Pahan’s remarkable achievement brought pride to Jharkhand as well as to the entire nation.
On this occasion, Mr. Mahato stated that by winning gold and silver medals in archery at the Asian Youth Para Games, Jhongo Pahan has proved that the talent of Jharkhand is second to none. Such athletes are invaluable assets to the world of sports and serve as a great source of inspiration for the youth of the state. He added that there are many talented players in every district of Jharkhand who, with proper guidance and encouragement, can achieve success at national and international levels.
The Hon’ble Speaker also praised the efforts and dedication of Mr. Jhongo Pahan’s coaches, Mr. Ashish Kumar and Mr. Danish Ansari, and emphasized that the commitment and guidance of coaches play a crucial role in the success of any sportsperson.
At the conclusion of the programme, everyone present extended their best wishes for Mr. Jhongo Pahan’s bright future and expressed hope that he would continue to bring glory to Jharkhand and the country through his achievements
