Ranchi::The Hon’ble Leader of Opposition in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Shri Jitendra Choudhury, arrived in Ranchi today as part of his personal engagements. During his visit, he paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Shri Rabindranath Mahato, at his residential office.
The Hon’ble Speaker warmly welcomed Shri Choudhury, felicitating him with a traditional shawl and presenting a memento as a token of goodwill.
During the informal meeting, both leaders engaged in a cordial and constructive discussion on political developments, socio-economic progress, and current national issues. Shri Choudhury appreciated the policies and welfare initiatives of the Jharkhand government, saying that the present administration has set new benchmarks in inclusive growth and governance.
The two leaders also emphasized the importance of inter-state cooperation, protection of tribal and marginalized communities’ rights, and strengthening of democratic values.
Shri Choudhury remarked that Jharkhand and Tripura share a common cultural and historical bond, and that balanced development in the eastern and northeastern regions is crucial for the overall progress of the nation.
The meeting concluded on a warm and positive note, with both leaders expressing hope for continued dialogue and cooperation between the two states.
