Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha has directed that electricity supply in the Chas–Tenughat division must remain uninterrupted between 6 PM and 10 PM. He clarified that during these crucial evening hours, only load-shedding will be allowed for balance, but no shutdown under any circumstances.
The DC said the decision was taken keeping in mind the needs of households, students, small businesses, and markets, as evening-to-night hours are vital for daily life. He instructed the Executive Engineer and departmental staff to ensure strict compliance, resolve any technical glitches without delay, and monitor supply closely.
Appealing to the public, the DC also urged consumers to use electricity responsibly and support energy conservation efforts.
