Employees Pull Jeep in Unison to Bid Tearful Goodbye to Director In-Charge B.K. Tiwari

Bokaro, Aug 31: The Administrative Building of Bokaro Steel Plant turned emotional on Sunday as Director In-Charge B.K. Tiwari was given a grand and heartfelt farewell by officers and employees.

A jeep, decorated with marigolds and flowers, rolled out of the building carrying Tiwari, who stood waving to the gathering. The moment became extraordinary when senior executives, officers, and employees together pulled the jeep with ropes — a rare symbolic gesture reflecting their deep respect and affection for their leader.

The farewell procession filled the atmosphere with mixed emotions — pride in his leadership, gratitude for his guidance, and sadness at his departure. Men and women staff, alongside security personnel, walked shoulder to shoulder, turning the administrative block into a corridor of memories.

To many, Tiwari was more than a Director In-Charge. He was a mentor who combined discipline with empathy and inspired teamwork with vision. As the jeep moved ahead, applause and cheers echoed across the campus, transforming the farewell into a celebration of bond and belonging.

The day will be remembered in Bokaro Steel Plant’s history as one when respect was expressed not in speeches, but in action.
