Government Committed to Women Empowerment: Deepika Pandey Singh



Ranchi: The Mandar block of Ranchi district witnessed the formal inauguration of the Mandar Livelihood Justice Advisory Centre, the Single Facilitation Centre, and the office of the Mandar Livelihood Women Cluster Organisation on Monday.



Addressing the programme, Jharkhand’s Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Ms Deepika Pandey Singh, said that the state government is continuously taking strong and concrete steps to make rural women self-reliant, empowered, and rights-oriented.




Under the OSF project, a total amount of ₹59.72 lakh was provided as Community Enterprise Fund (CEF) to 115 women entrepreneurs associated with Sakhi Mandals. Livelihood-related assets were also distributed among the beneficiaries. The minister stated that this initiative would significantly support women in achieving self-employment, economic security, and a dignified life.




During the event, a gender pledge was administered to spread the message of social equality, respect, and awareness. Ms Singh emphasized that the Justice Advisory Centre and the Single Facilitation Centre would serve as effective platforms to ensure easy, accessible, and integrated delivery of justice, livelihood support, and various government services to rural women.



The programme was also graced by the presence of Jharkhand’s Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Minister, Ms Shilpi Neha Tirkey, who appreciated the initiative and said that women-centric schemes form the foundation of comprehensive rural development.



Administrative officials, representatives of the livelihood mission, members of self-help groups, and a large number of local villagers were present on the occasion.
