DC Ajay Nath Jha Sounds Alarm on Road Safety in Bokaro

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha has voiced serious concern over the rising number of road accidents in Bokaro and called upon citizens to drive with greater responsibility. While expressing condolences over a recent late-night mishap, he cautioned that a single moment of haste or carelessness can shatter entire families. “Life is far more precious than time. Being late is acceptable, but losing a life is irreparable,” he said.

Drawing attention to the ongoing wedding season, DC Jha noted that late-night celebrations followed by early-morning travel often lead to fatigue and drowsy driving, which are among the leading causes of fatal accidents. He urged people to ensure proper rest before travel and avoid driving under exhaustion. He also advised families to engage experienced and alert drivers whenever possible.

Appealing to event organizers, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to regulate late-night programmes and treat guest safety as a priority. He added that although the district administration is actively running road safety awareness drives, preventing accidents ultimately depends on the discipline, awareness, and responsible choices of the people.
