Ranchi::On the occasion of the Feast of Christ the King, a grand procession was taken out by the Christian community on Sunday. When the procession reached Murma, members of the Muslim community extended a warm welcome. The welcome was marked with garlands and sweets, symbolizing a message of harmony and brotherhood.
Those who took part in welcoming the procession included Shamim Akhtar Azad, District President of Ranchi District Momin Conference; Shamim Akhtar, District President of Minority Department, Ranchi District Congress Party; Azbul Ansari, President of Anjuman Islamia Sursa; along with several prominent community representatives such as Amanullah Ansari, Rafiq Ansari, and Amin Ansari.
Speaking on the occasion, community leaders stated that the land of Jharkhand has always been known for its cultural diversity and unity among different religious groups. Here, all festivals are celebrated together, reflecting
the spirit of social harmony and the rich Ganga–Jamuni culture.
The Christian community also expressed their gratitude for the honor and affection shown by the Muslim community and said that such gestures further strengthen the bonds of love, trust, and unity in society.
The procession continued forward with devotional hymns and religious slogans
along the designated route.
