Ranchi(Chatra) : The Government Assurances Committee of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly arrived in Chatra district today. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Kirtishree welcomed the committee’s chairperson and members, presenting them with saplings as a symbol of environmental conservation and green initiatives.
A review meeting was held at the Chatra Circuit House auditorium under the chairmanship of Committee Chairperson Arup Chatterjee. The agenda focused on pending government assurances and ongoing development projects. The meeting was attended by committee members — Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi, Simaria MLA Kumar Ujjwal, and Chatra MLA Janardan Paswan.
During the session, Deputy Development Commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sinha, through department-wise presentations, briefed the committee that government assurances made during assembly sessions were being implemented with seriousness and priority. Sharing details of departmental progress, he assured that the remaining tasks were also being executed in a time-bound, transparent, and quality-driven manner.
The committee, while appreciating the progress, directed officials to ensure that all works are completed within stipulated timelines so that the benefits of schemes directly reach the common people. It further underlined that departmental coordination, administrative efficiency, and active local participation are key to accelerating development.
On this occasion, Additional Collector Arvind Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer of Chatra Jahoor Alam, and officials from various departments were also present. The committee assured that the district’s priorities would be given due importance at the assembly level and pledged necessary interventions to remove any bottlenecks in development works.
