Continuous Efforts Are Being Made to Strengthen and Improve the State's Health Infrastructure – Chief Minister

  



Ranchi: “On this earth, you are being appointed as ‘God.’ The poor, weak, and helpless people of this state have great hopes and expectations from you. I am confident that with your spirit of service, you will strengthen and improve the health system here,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren today while addressing the appointment letter distribution ceremony organized by the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Department at the Jharkhand Secretariat. On this occasion, he handed over appointment letters to 160 assistant professors, dentists, and medical officers.The Chief Minister said that the appointment of medical officers is a significant step toward strengthening the state’s health infrastructure. He told the newly appointed medical officers that they have chosen healthcare as their career path. They will get many opportunities to build a better future. “I believe that health is a sector where your services truly matter. The attitude with which you have entered this field should include empathy towards the poor and helpless people here. Not only should you feel this empathy, but it should also be reflected in reality, so that the people here can benefit from it,” the Chief Minister said.He added that resources are limited, but even with limited resources, there is a lot to be done, and for that, passion is necessary. The Chief Minister said that patients need not only treatment but also your empathy and service. Through your behavior and influence, you can provide a much better environment for the patients.


Meanwhile, Health Minister Irfan Ansari said


That new challenges are constantly arising in the health sector. Continuous research is being carried out to improve the medical field. In this direction, doctors have a crucial role. The government has also created a system where, with the cooperation of all of you, the health infrastructure can be strengthened so that people can get better treatment, resources, and facilities.He said new diseases are emerging, and people are affected by different illnesses. He believes that many health problems are caused by humans themselves, so the solution also needs to come from all of us together. Referring to COVID-19, he said that the disease gripped the entire world, and there was no medicine or treatment initially. However, the government successfully managed this challenge through better management.
He also asked the Health Department to start the practice of assessing the work and services of doctors posted in various parts of the state and honoring those who perform well. This will boost their morale and encourage them to give their best.


Appointment Letters Distributed to 160 Doctors


The Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to 160 doctors at the Health Department's appointment letter distribution ceremony. This includes 54 assistant professors appointed by JPSC, 55 specialist medical officers appointed on contract under NHM, 38 medical officers, and 13 dentists.


On this occasion, Chief Minister's Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Campaign Director NHM Mr. Shashi Prakash Jha, MD JMHIDP Mr. Abu Imran, and Health Department’s Special Secretary Dr. Neha Arora were also present
