Student's Mysterious Death in Madrasa: Family Alleges Murder by Madrasa Head

Ranchi, Jharkhand:(Godda mahagama) A shocking incident has come to light from Mahagama in Godda district, where a young female student (talibah) was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a girls' madrasa. The incident has triggered widespread panic in the area, prompting parents to withdraw their daughters from the institution immediately.

The deceased had reportedly been studying at Ummul Momin Jamia Ayesha Lil Banat Madrasa, located in Kasba village, for the past seven years. Her body was found inside the madrasa premises early Wednesday morning. According to local residents, everything seemed normal the previous night, and the girls, including the deceased, had gone to sleep as usual. However, her lifeless body was discovered in her room the next morning.

Suspicious Circumstances Raise Serious Questions

Residents reported visible marks on the girl's neck, suggesting possible strangulation or hanging. Her family, hailing from Bhagalpur, Bihar, stated that they were informed via phone around 9:00 AM that the girl's health had suddenly deteriorated. But when they arrived at the madrasa, they found her body lying on her bed. The family has accused the madrasa head (Maulana) of murder and claimed that the girl was hanged.

Notably, the madrasa is exclusively for female students, yet the number of male teachers reportedly exceeds that of female staff, raising further concerns about the administration’s conduct.

Adding to the concern, locals revealed that a similar incident had occurred at the same madrasa about a year ago, but it was allegedly suppressed and never investigated thoroughly.

No Statement Yet from Madrasa Authorities

So far, the madrasa management has not issued any official statement regarding the incident. Police have reached the site and initiated an investigation. The exact cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report is released.

Government Officials Demand Fair Investigation

The incident has drawn strong reactions from political leaders. Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh expressed grave concern over the death of the 13-year-old girl, stating,“This is a very serious matter. A fair and transparent investigation must be conducted, and strict action should be taken against those found guilty.”

Labour Minister Sanjay Yadav also issued a statement calling the death deeply worrying.“The death of a young girl in Mahagama is concerning. A proper investigation must be conducted, the culprits must be brought to justice.”

Awaiting Post-Mortem Results

As the investigation continues, all eyes are now on the post-mortem report, which is expected to shed light on the actual cause of death and whether foul play was involving
