SAIL Chief Sees Strong Growth Potential in Bokaro Steel Plant During Review Visit
Bokaro: Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda, Chairman and Managing Director of Steel Authority of India Limited, reviewed the performance and growth roadmap of Bokaro Steel Plant during his visit to Bokaro on Saturday, where he was received by Director In-Charge Priya Ranjan.
During a high-level review meeting, Priya Ranjan and senior officials presented updates on production, productivity, financial performance, project execution and operational initiatives undertaken by the plant. Dr. Panda assessed the progress made across key sectors and emphasized the need for continuous improvement to achieve higher benchmarks.
The SAIL CMD stressed that safety, quality enhancement, equipment reliability and a greater focus on value-added steel products would be crucial in strengthening the plant's competitiveness. He noted that Bokaro Steel Plant possesses immense potential for growth and can play a pivotal role in SAIL's future expansion.
Earlier, Dr. Panda was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Central Industrial Security Force at Bokaro Niwas. The review meeting was attended by executive directors, chief general managers and other senior officials.
Expressing confidence in the leadership of DIC Priya Ranjan and the collective efforts of the workforce, Dr. Panda said innovation, teamwork and operational excellence would help Bokaro Steel Plant achieve new milestones and further strengthen its contribution to India's steel sector.
