Municipal Election 2026: Final List of Valid Candidates and Their Symbols Released
Bokaro: Under the Municipal Election, 2026, the final list of candidates contesting for the post of Mayor of Chas Municipal Corporation (Category–B) was published on Friday, February 7, 2026. The list was prepared and released by the Returning Officer for the Mayor post at the Sub-Divisional Office, Chas.
According to the Election Officer, nomination papers of a total of 31 candidates have been found valid. In accordance with the prescribed guidelines of the Election Commission, distinct election symbols have been allotted to all eligible candidates to ensure easy identification by voters during polling.
As per the symbol allocation, Anil Kumar Verma has been allotted Air Conditioner, Abhay Singh Walking Stick, Amar Kumar Chaurasia Bangles, Arabind Kumar Battery Torch, Arvind Kumar Rai Bench, Avinash Kumar Biscuit, Umesh Thakur Box, Ehsanullah Shah Brick, Gajendra Prasad Himashu Bucket, Gopal Murarka Camera, Jameel Akhtar Carpet, and Jaiveer Singh CCTV Camera.
Similarly, Jawahar Prasad has been allotted Chapati Roller, Nidhi Kumari Chimney, Nimai Mahato Coconut Farm, Parinda Singh Computer Mouse, Pankaj Kumar Roy Hammer, Pradeep Varman Diamond, Md. Faizuddin Ansari Palanquin, Vinod Kumar Drill Machine, Bholu Paswan Electric Pole, Md. Rafiq Ansari Flute, Rajkishor Gop Fountain, Dr. Rajkumar Key, and Raj Kumar Gas Stove.
Further, Ritu Rani Singh has been allotted Tea Strainer, Vikas Kumar Pandey Green Chilli, Vinod Mandal Wool and Stitching, Sadhu Sharan Gop Helmet, Savitri Devi Ice Cream, and Md. Sultan Jackfruit as their election symbols.
All election-related details and the complete list of candidates have been displayed on the notice board of the Sub-Divisional Office, Chas. Further election processes will be carried out strictly in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission.
