Ranchi: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries has taken a significant initiative to showcase the vast trade, industrial, and investment potential of Jharkhand on the global platform. As part of this effort, letters have been sent to the diplomatic embassies of several countries based in India, inviting them to explore investment opportunities and establish long-term trade partnerships in the state.
Under this initiative, embassies of Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, and Singapore have been formally invited to invest in Jharkhand.
In the letter, Chamber President Aditya Malhotra described Jharkhand as the mineral hub of India, stating that the state possesses nearly 40 percent of the country’s mineral resources, making it a major center for the metals and mining sector. He also highlighted the immense investment potential in sectors such as green energy and critical minerals, automobile parts and engineering, food and feed processing, skill development, and education.
He further mentioned that the investor-friendly policies of the Jharkhand
government, especially the Jharkhand Industrial Investment Promotion Policy, make the state an attractive destination for global investors. The Chamber has also formally invited diplomatic representatives from all these countries to visit the Chamber building in Ranchi, enabling direct interaction with the local industry and facilitating concrete trade and investment collaborations.
Sharing this information, Chamber Secretary General Rohit Agrawal said that a high-level business delegation from Jharkhand is also prepared to undertake trade visits to the concerned countries at an appropriate time. He expressed confidence that this initiative would prove to be a milestone in establishing Jharkhand as a strong and reliable partner on the global investment map.
