Blood Heroes to Be Honored in Ranchi on January 18; ‘Sur Sangam Evening’ to Add Cultural Charm




Ranchi: The “Lahu Bolega” Blood Donation Organization, Ranchi, will organize the 5th Jharkhand State-Level Blood Hero Award Ceremony–2026 along with an Entertainment Talent Competition for Patients with Blood Disorders and a Sur Sangam Cultural Evening on January 18, 2026, at Audrey House, Ranchi. The program will begin at 10:00 AM and continue till evening.



In this regard, a joint preparatory meeting of the “Lahu Bolega” Blood Donation Organization and the Jharkhand Thalassemia Patients Association was held last night at Zaika Delhi-6 Restaurant, Anjuman Plaza, Main Road, Ranchi. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the structure, objectives, guest invitations, and overall arrangements of the event.



It was decided that this year’s program will focus on the theme “Thalassemia, Blood Donation, Society, and Government.” The event will include the 5th Jharkhand State-Level Blood Hero Award Ceremony–2026, the Humanitarian Service Honor Ceremony–2026, and a special 



entertainment-based talent competition for stable patients suffering from thalassemia, sickle cell disease, aplastic anemia, and homophobia, along with persons with disabilities. A cultural program titled Sur Sangam Evening will also be organized.




The meeting also proposed inviting Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, his wife and MLA Mrs. Kalpana Soren, along with ministers, MLAs, MPs, senior IAS and IPS officers, renowned doctors, editors, and other distinguished guests.




The preparatory meeting was chaired by Blood Hero Nadeem Khan, Founder of “Lahu Bolega.” The chief guest of the meeting was Prakash Viplavi, State Secretary of CPI(M) Jharkhand and a noted social thinker. The session was conducted by Blood Hero Engineer Shahnawaz Abbas, while the introductory address was delivered by Sanjay Toppo, Convener of the Thalassemia Patients Group.




From the Thalassemia Patients Association, Sanjay Mahato, Suranjan Bada, Ajit Mishra (Pandit Ji), and Jaynath Mahato were present. From the “Lahu Bolega” organization, Akram Rashid, Md. Rahil, Abu Rehan, Tausif Khan, Sajid Umar, Faraz Abbas, Md. Sahabul, Munawwar Bhutto, Taj Khan, Md. Rashid, Md. Tasleem, and Md. Zubair actively participated.




All members pledged collective efforts to make the event a grand success. Speakers emphasized that the program will not only promote awareness about blood donation but will also strengthen the morale of patients suffering from blood disorders.
