A JCB machine has reportedly been lying stationary beside Sector 11 on the Bokaro–Dhanbad main connecting road for about a week, raising safety concerns among commuters. The stretch, which sees regular vehicular traffic, currently lacks proper street lighting, making night-time visibility poor.
Local residents and daily travellers fear that the unattended construction vehicle could lead to accidents, particularly in the absence of warning reflectors or barricades. They have urged authorities to take prompt action to ensure road safety, including relocating the machine and restoring streetlights.
The District Transport Officer (DTO) has been intimated about the situation, but concrete action is still awaited, leaving commuters anxious on this busy route connecting two major districts.
