Congress Terms Marandi’s Remarks on Forest Department “Misleading and Politically Motivated”

Alok Kumar Dubey says—“Marandi makes a new allegation every day to confuse the public”

Ranchi :: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Alok Kumar Dubey has termed the statement made by BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi regarding the Forest Department as “baseless, misleading, and entirely politically motivated.”

Dubey said that Marandi lacks a basic understanding of the administrative framework and government processes. “The posting of IFS officers, allocation of responsibilities, and budget distribution are institutional and technical processes that cannot be influenced by any single individual’s will,” he said.

He further added, “Every officer’s assignment is determined according to regional needs and forest protection strategies. Labeling this as ‘corruption’ or a ‘scam’ is not only unfair but
also an insult to the honest officers who
work diligently for the state.”

The Congress leader asserted that the BJP must understand that the Hemant Soren government functions on the principles of transparency and accountability in every administrative decision. “Mr. Marandi is spreading misinformation to divert public attention from real issues,” Dubey remarked.

He also reminded Marandi that during the BJP regime, “one officer was often given charge of several districts, yet he remained silent then. Now that the system functions with discipline and responsibility, he seems uncomfortable.”

Taking a jibe, Dubey said —

“Mr. Marandi’s only goal now is to wake up every morning and make a fresh allegation against the government, regardless of facts. But the people now know that this is not politics — it’s desperation.”

Concluding his statement, Alok Kumar Dubey said that both the Congress Party and the Jharkhand government are committed to upholding the dignity of administrative institutions. “Do not drag our officers and employees into political mudslinging, Mr. Marandi. Jharkhand is moving in a new direction — the people want development, not division.”
