Ranchi: Under the state government’s policy to promote entrepreneurship, a oneday dialogue on “Entrepreneurship Development” was organized today, October 15, 2025, at the Municipal Corporation Auditorium. The program aimed to identify local talent, nurture
them, encourage innovation, and inspire entrepreneurship. This initiative was jointly organized by the district administration and Palash (JSLPS).
The program was launched by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, on May 15, 2025. At the event, GMDIC welcomed the guests and participants and provided detailed information about the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Enterprise Formalization Scheme (PMFME) and the Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Program (PMEGP). They explained how beneficiaries can avail financial support under these schemes to expand their enterprises.

This initiative under the Potential
Entrepreneurship Programme aims to provide a new platform for local entrepreneurs. A total of 215 applications were received for the program, and after a selection process, 100 entrepreneurs were chosen based on various criteria.
In his address, Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya appreciated all beneficiaries and stated that the district administration and JSLPS will provide training, guidance, and all possible support to the selected entrepreneurs. He further emphasized, “Entrepreneurship is a powerful means towards self-reliance, and the administration’s goal is to empower local talent to build a self-reliant Ranchi.”

2. Customized skill development workshops.
3. Opportunities for seed funding for promising startups.
4. Access to co-working spaces and business resources.
5. Regular networking and investor engagement sessions.
The event was attended by GMDIC, District Coordinators of the Chief Minister’s Small and Cottage Industry Development Board, LDM Mr. Ajay Ajit Kumar, Directors of RCET and RUDSETI, Priya Shruti (PPIA, NITI Aayog), Srishti Shankar (NITI Aayog), and DPM Ranchi Mr. Nishikant Neeraj.
