Ranchi :: Senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Comrade Brinda Karat will attend a memorial meeting to be held tomorrow in Dhanbad in memory of Comrade Santosh Ghosh, a member of the CPI(M) State Secretariat, who passed away suddenly on September 10, 2025.
The memorial meeting is being organized by the CPI(M) Dhanbad District Committee. Apart from party leaders, representatives from left parties, other political organizations, trade unions, people’s organizations, and social groups will participate in the event to pay tribute to Comrade Ghosh and recall his contributions to the workers’ movement and social justice causes.
Comrade Santosh Ghosh was a dedicated party leader who played a significant role in labor movements and progressive struggles across the state. His untimely demise has caused a deep loss to both the party and the wider movement.
State Secretary Prakash Viplav said that the memorial meeting will not only be a tribute to Comrade Ghosh but also an occasion to draw inspiration from his lifelong struggles and ideals. “Comrade Ghosh devoted his entire life to the fight for the rights of the working class and the oppressed. His memory will continue to guide and energize our movement,” he added.
A large number of CPI(M) workers, supporters, and allied organizations from different districts are expected to attend the event. A short documentary on the life and struggles of Comrade Santosh Ghosh will also be
screened at the conclusion of the program.
