There Is No Greater Religion Than Blood Donation; Service to Humanity Is the True Service: Jyoti Singh Matharu



Ranchi:A grand felicitation ceremony was organized today at the Ranchi Press Club by the “Lahoo Bolega” Blood Donation Organization, Ranchi, to honor retired Indian Army Captain and dedicated humanitarian blood donor Captain Dr. Suresh Kumar Saini (world record holder for donating blood 252 times), Hon’ble Judge of the Jamshedpur District Consumer Commission Mrs. Arpana Mishra (26-time blood donor), and IAS officer Mr. Utkarsh Kumar, who is also devoted to humanitarian service.



The program was presided over by Blood Warrior Nadeem Khan, Founder of “Lahoo Bolega.” The event began with the warm welcome and felicitation of the guests, where thalassemia-affected children and their family members greeted the dignitaries with bouquets and traditional Jharkhandi shawls.


Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Vice Chairman of the Jharkhand State Minority Commission, Mr. Jyoti Singh Matharu, said,


“There is no religion greater than blood donation. A person who donates blood not only saves lives but also serves humanity. Organizations like ‘Lahoo Bolega’ are setting exemplary standards of compassion and social responsibility.”



Honored guest Captain Dr. Suresh Kumar Saini, in his address, stated,


“Whatever service I have rendered in my life has been dedicated to humanity. Blood donation is a supreme form of donation, and every healthy individual should donate blood regularly. Even today, millions of patients suffer due to blood shortages, and society must step forward to address this issue.”


Hon’ble Judge of the Jamshedpur District Consumer Commission, Mrs. Arpana Mishra, shared her views saying,
“Blood donation is not just a social responsibility; it reflects the sensitivity of a responsible citizen. For children suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell disease, regular blood donation is a lifeline.”



IAS officer Mr. Utkarsh Kumar remarked,


“Along with administrative duties, fulfilling social responsibilities is equally important. Efforts by organizations like ‘Lahoo Bolega’ are bringing positive change to society and will continue to inspire future generations.”



On the occasion, a public awareness pamphlet on Blood Donation – The Greatest Donation, prepared by “Lahoo Bolega,” was formally released by the guests. All dignitaries were also welcomed with Ajwa dates, known for helping improve blood health.




Distinguished guests present at the program included newly elected President of Ranchi Press Club and senior editor Mr. Shambhunath Chaudhary, PRO of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed, Executive Engineer of the Jharkhand Government Mr. Naseem Ali, and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Anuradha Vats from Deepashikha.





Among those present were thalassemia patients and their family members Sanjay Toppo, Devki Devi, Seema Devi, Sona Singh, and Puniya Oraon, as well as sickle cell patients Sonam Kumari, Sakshi Singh, Anees Toppo, Pragati Prakash, and Barkha Lily Bara. Members of the “Lahoo Bolega” organization, including Buland Akhtar, Sajid Umar, Md. Tauheed, Md. Babbar, Vivek Kumar, Deepak, and several other blood warriors, were also present.




The program was conducted by Engineer Blood Warrior Shahnawaz Abbas. The welcome address was delivered by Blood Warrior Powell Kumar, while the vote of thanks was presented by Blood Warrior Sapan Kumar Mahato.
