Ranchi: Hon’ble Governor Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar today administered the oath of office to Hon’ble Justice Shri M. S. Sonak as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court at Birsa Mandap, located in Lok Bhavan. After the oath-taking ceremony, the Governor extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Hon’ble Chief Justice.
Prior to this, the State’s Chief Secretary, Shri Avinash Kumar, read out the warrant of appointment of Hon’ble Justice Shri M. S. Sonak as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. Thereafter, the Governor’s Additional Chief Secretary, Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, invited the Hon’ble Chief Justice to take the oath.
On this august occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri Rabindra Nath Mahato, Union Minister of State for Defence Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble Ministers of the State, former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Shri Babulal Marandi, former Chief Minister Shri Arjun Munda, Hon’ble Judges of the Jharkhand High Court, former Judges, senior officers of the Indian Administrative and Police Services, officials of the Jharkhand High Court, and senior advocates were present.
