Patients, caregivers and blood donors expressed gratitude to doctors by presenting traditional Jharkhandi stoles, mementoes and flowers in recognition of their dedicated service.
RANCHI: A three-day Doctors' Day Gratitude Campaign (July 1–3), organised by Lahoo Bolega Blood Donation Organisation, Ranchi, in association with the Jharkhand Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anaemia, Haemophilia and Aplastic Anaemia Patients Association, concluded with the felicitation of 30 doctors from the state capital for their contribution to patient care and humanitarian service.
As part of the campaign, patients suffering
from blood disorders and other life-threatening diseases, along with their family members, voluntary blood donors and social workers, visited hospitals and clinics across Ranchi to express their appreciation to doctors. The physicians were honoured with traditional Jharkhandi stoles, mementoes and bouquets.
The awardees included 15 doctors from Ranchi Sadar Hospital and 15 doctors from the private healthcare sector. Those honoured represented various specialities, including the Civil Surgeon, Deputy Superintendent, blood disorder specialists, blood bank doctors, pathologists, general surgeons, general physicians, a dermatologist and a psychologist.
Among those felicitated were Dr Prabhat Kumar, Dr Bimlesh Singh, Dr Shekhar Kajal, Dr Stephen Khes, Dr Bharti Sahni, Dr Khushboo Praveen, Dr Abhishek Ranjan, Dr Ranju Sinha, Dr Venu Vandana, Dr Himalaya Jha, Dr Suhas Tetarveh, Dr Syed Iqbal Hussain, Dr Z. Hoda, Dr Anuradha Vats, Dr Syed Altamash, Dr Praveen Kumar and Dr Anirban Sahni, along with several other doctors.
The campaign commenced on July 1 (Doctors' Day) with the felicitation of Ranchi Civil Surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar at Ranchi Sadar Hospital.
The organisers described the initiative as a unique gesture in Jharkhand, where patients, their families and voluntary blood donors came together to honour doctors and acknowledge their invaluable contribution to society.
The programme was attended by Nadeem Khan, Sanjay Mahto, Sajid Umar, Sanjay Toppo, Devki Devi, Seema Devi, Neelam Toppo, Shah Nawaz Abbas, Babbar, Qabil Hussain, Md Javed, Akram, Mojahid and several other volunteers and social workers
