DC’s Ground-Level Connect Ends Hunger Strike Through Dialogue





Humanitarian intervention by DC Ajay Nath Jha earns public appreciation


Bokaro, June 1: Demonstrating a people-centric and accessible style of administration, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha personally intervened to end the ongoing hunger strike of Chas resident Satish Jaiswal, who had been protesting for several days over his demands.


While leaving the Collectorate, the Deputy Commissioner noticed the protest site and immediately instructed his driver to stop and return to the location. His decision to personally meet the protester drew attention from those present and reflected his commitment to addressing citizens’ concerns directly.


Interacting with Satish Jaiswal, the Deputy Commissioner patiently heard his grievances and assured him that the administration would take necessary steps to address the issues. He also directed Chas Sub-Divisional Officer Pranjal Dhanda to take appropriate action on the matter.


Following the assurance, Satish Jaiswal expressed confidence in the administration and called off his hunger strike.


Local residents and those present at the site appreciated the Deputy Commissioner’s grounded personality, approachable leadership, and sensitivity towards public concerns. Many described the gesture as a reflection of an administration that remains connected with people at the grassroots level and responsive to their problems.
