Bring Babasaheb’s Ideals into Practice — Governor


Ranchi:: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Tuesday paid floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at Ambedkar Chowk in Doranda on the occasion of his birth anniversary.


Speaking to mediapersons, the Governor said that Dr. Ambedkar was not only the chief architect of the Indian Constitution but also, as Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly, he gave the country a Constitution rooted in the values of democracy, equality, liberty and fraternity. He said that it is due to his unparalleled contribution that citizens take pride in belonging to the world’s largest democracy.


Gangwar said that Babasaheb provided the nation with a strong, inclusive and just framework. The Constitution he framed ensured equal rights, freedom and dignity for every citizen.


Highlighting his legacy, the Governor said that Dr. Ambedkar’s life remains a powerful example of struggle, determination and self-confidence. Despite adverse circumstances, he attained the highest level of education and fought lifelong against social discrimination and inequality. He believed that education is the most effective instrument of social transformation.

The Governor emphasized that merely remembering Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals is not enough; they must be practiced in daily life. He said that collective efforts towards building a harmonious and strong society would be the true tribute to the great leader.
