Swift inquiry and prompt transfer underline strict stance on misconduct
Bokaro, April 13: Demonstrating prompt response and administrative firmness, Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh acted swiftly in the Chas case following a viral audio clip on social media. The audio, allegedly involving inappropriate language by the Chas police station in-charge, was taken seriously, triggering an immediate inquiry.
The complaint was immediately taken up at the district level, with directions issued for a time-bound verification of the viral content. Senior officers were tasked to examine the authenticity of the audio and assess the conduct reflected in it.
Following confirmation during the inquiry, prompt departmental measures were initiated. As per the official statement, Sub-Inspector Sushma Kumari, In-charge of Chas Police Station, has been transferred with immediate effect and posted to Police Centre, Bokaro, until further orders.
The decisive intervention highlights a proactive policing approach where accountability is enforced without delay, reinforcing discipline within the force.
