Ranchi/Delhi:The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued a significant statement regarding the situation in Venezuela. The party strongly condemned the aggressive actions of the United States against Venezuela, describing them as a blatant interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation.
In its statement, the Polit Bureau expressed serious concerns over the current whereabouts of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The party demanded that it be clarified to the international community that President Maduro and his wife are safe and that concrete proof of their well-being should be made public immediately.
CPI(M) has appealed to the people of India to actively participate in protests across the country against U.S. imperialist policies and the attacks on Venezuela. The party emphasized that any violation of the sovereignty of an independent nation sets a dangerous precedent for the world.
The Polit Bureau also urged the Government of India not to remain silent and to formally demand that the U.S. provide proof of the safety and well-being of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Furthermore, India must stand firmly in support of the principles of the United Nations Charter—national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.
The party made it clear that the people of Venezuela have the right to decide their own future, and any attempt by an external power to impose a regime change is against democracy and international peace.
