DC Ajay Nath Jha Marks Makar Sankranti Through Outreach and Empathy

Choosing compassion over convention, DC Ajay Nath Jha observed Makar Sankranti by reaching out to children and senior citizens residing at Manav Seva Ashram, Sector-05, and Baba Baidyanath Old Age Home, Solgadiha, turning the festival into a quiet yet powerful expression of service.

The Deputy Commissioner spent time interacting with the residents, sharing festive moments and distributing traditional tilkut, dahi-chura, and jaggery, which added warmth and dignity to the celebrations. His conversations focused on listening—understanding personal experiences, everyday needs, and emotional well-being.

DC Ajay Nath Jha remarked that festivals gain true meaning when they are shared with those often left unheard, adding that Makar Sankranti symbolizes renewal, compassion, and collective responsibility. The gesture reflected a people-first approach to administration, reinforcing trust and human connection beyond official duties.
