Bokaro: Deputy Inspector General (CID), Jharkhand, Chandan Jha, IPS, is associated with the non-commercial educational YouTube platform EDUCOP, which provides academic content for engineering and medical entrance examination aspirants.
Over the past eight months, the platform has uploaded more than 310 educational videos. Mathematics classes are taken by DIG Chandan Jha, while Physics is taught by another faculty member. The initiative focuses on providing free academic guidance, particularly for students who may have limited access to formal coaching resources.
It is noteworthy that DIG Jha has previously been involved in similar educational efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while serving as Superintendent of Police, Bokaro, he supported and facilitated online classes for students in the district to ensure continuity of learning during school closures.
The initiative and DIG Jha’s academic association have been acknowledged within educational circles for their focus on accessible learning. Information related to the platform is being shared so that students, parents, and teachers are aware of the available free academic resources.
