First-Ever Blood Donation Camp Held in Siladon, 28 Units Collected

Blood Dedicated to Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Patients

Ranchi: The Central Naujawan Committee, Siladon-Tupudana, organised its first-ever blood donation camp at Das Mile Chowk in Siladon on Sunday, collecting 28 units of blood. A significant number of the donors were first-time blood donors.

The camp was organised as part of programmes marking the arrival of Prophet Muhammad and on an appeal by ‘Lahu Bolega’, a Ranchi-based blood donation organisation. The collected blood was dedicated to the Ranchi Sadar Hospital Blood Bank for supporting children suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell anaemia.

Guests attending the programme were honoured by ‘Lahu Bolega’ with traditional shawls, key rings and blood donation appeal leaflets. Vakil Ansari, president of the Central Naujawan Committee and a blood donor activist, was also honoured with a medal and a traditional shawl for his key role in organising the camp.

Advocate Father Mahendra Peter Tigga was the chief guest, while Sagar Kumar attended as the guest of honour. Among those present were ‘Lahu Bolega’ blood donation activist Nadeem Khan, Er.
